Great Diet Recipe for Chicken Tuna Salad

Finding simple solutions to your dieting needs is a great way to manage your weight loss or health desires. Using fresh ingredients bought from a store or market is almost always the best route. However creating a well balanced meal from some processed foods is not a terrible dieting weight loss route either. One of my families favorite meals on the quick is the classic chicken tuna salad. Many diet recipes for Chicken Tuna Salad will include apples, raisins, and apricots but I never add them. I do encourage that you add a fruit to as many recipes as possible. This is how I make my Chicken Tuna Salad for a healthy diet.

Servings 8
Ingredients:
1 (12 oz) can of chicken breast
1 (6 oz) can of tuna
1/3 cup of light mayonnaise or substitute
2 tablespoons of mustard(or honey mustard)
3 table spoons of sweet pickle relish
1/8 teaspoon of pepper


As you can see the meat is canned. Feel free to use fresh ingredients here instead. I usually also add two large hard boiled eggs and a small fresh tomato. Basically to make this your just going to mix everything into a nice sized bowl or storage container then refrigerate. Go out and buy yourself some nice multi-grain whole wheat bread. Now you have a great lunch in your fridge for the next few days. Do yourself a favor and add up all the calories per serving. You should be getting around 400 or so calories. The bread will have alot of carbs but since we are dieting we should be looking into a proper diet. Eating carbs, fat, and protein is not a bad thing. You simply have to manage the ratio of each macro nutrient in order to get the best results. The one piece of advice I can give everyone try to lose weight is simple. Diet and exercise! If you don't have a proper diet then you need to make one. After you have a well regimented and tasty diet then you need to create a proper and motivational exercise program.
